Introduction to Sendai, Japan
Sendai is home to over one million residents, making it the most populated city in Tohoku. The city is famous for its beef tongue cuisine, which is considered a delicacy in the region. In the downtown area, Sendai hotels are generally larger, high-rise buildings, with hundreds of rooms available for guests. On the outskirts of Sendai, tourists can find the beautiful onsen and family-run nature resorts, which are usually more expensive than the downtown hotels in Sendai. There is an abundance of things to see and do in Sendai. Usually on top of the list is Aoba Castle, the residential fortress of the former Date Clan. Also, the Date clan’s influence can be seen at the Rinnoji Temple, which also displays an eye-catching garden, and the Osaki Hachimangu Shrine. Hotels in Sendai are also relatively close to the town of Matsushima. The town boasts one of the most scenic look out points in all of Japan, with views stretching across the Tohoku region.other spellings: sendaihotels, sendai otel, sendai hotell, sendaai hote, semdai hotle
