Okushiga Kogen Hotel - Nagano

The hotel has a small, hexagonal shaped music hall, made of timber. With some advices by Mr. Seiji Ozawa, one of the most famous orchestra conductors in the world, the hall has very excellent sound effects. In Summer, concerts are organized there. At the end of day, whichever in Summer or in Winter, guests' fatigue would be relieved in public bath and jacuzzi, where they could enjoy the panramic view of montains at the same time. It is worth to taking a long journey to Okushiga Kogen area because of the breathtaking scenery of the mountainous and either tranquil environment surrounded by green nature at high altitude or excellent snow-white skii resort.

All rooms are spacious with natural wooden walls in a log-house style and equipped with hair dryer, refrigerator and television. All bathrooms are kept in good condition.

There is a restaurant offering fine French Cuisine. The sophisticated presentation of meals are made by the chef. Is spite of the restaurant name "Gendai"(means "modern" in Japanese), it provides not only modern cuisine but also classic menu with local fresh foods from surrounding nature environment. The Lounge Bar has a fireplace as the focal point and skiers can exit for the slopes directly.

It is medium sized with the reception desk at the right of lobby. Some seating areas where guests can enjoy the fabulous mountain views.

A modern, architecturally interesting 6-storey grey building. The shape of this hotel is quite unique, with a combination of wood and stone, built in a triangle and hexagon shapes.
