Introduction to Niigata, Japan
Niigata is situated on the north-western coastline of Japan, about 300 kilometers from Tokyo. Getting to Niigata from one of the other major cities can be accomplished by air, train or road. The fastest and most convenient mode of transport is the JR network, from where an abundance of hotels in Niigata can be located. Similar to most Japanese cities, Niigata hotels come in a vast array of prices, comforts and styles. For more traditional styles of Niigata hotels, the Ryokan, or Japanese guesthouse, provides guests with a truly cultural experience. Here, tourists can be served tea, Japanese food and dessert from their very own room, and bed are usually simple futons which can be folded away in the morning. Wherever travellers opt to stay, there are many must-see landmarks just a short distance from centre of Niigata. Some of these include the Northern Culture Museum, Niigata City History Museum, Old Customs House, Niigata Aquarium, Hakusan Park and Shrine, Minato Inari Shrine, Old Sasakawa Manor, and the Bandaijima Modern Art Museum. For an unbeatable panoramic view of the city, head to the Toki Messe Observation Deck.other spellings: niigata hotles, niigata otel, niigata hotell, nigata hote, nigata hotles
