Introduction to Nagoya - Sakae
The Japanese city of Nagoya is famous for its modern architecture and plentiful attractions. The city centre can be easily travelled around on the city’s buses and subway system, and the centrally located Sakae Station has great links to other areas of the city. The district offers sights like the 180m high Nagoya TV Tower and many beautiful traditional style temples, all within easy reach of the Nagoya hotels. Nagoya TV Tower’s sky balcony is the best place to get a good view across the district while those with vertigo may prefer to wait in the park surrounding the tower. Other green areas of Sakae include Hisaya-Odori Park, an ideal spot for a picnic, or Higashiyama Park, host to a small zoo. Art buffs will not want to miss a visit to Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art where Japanese works sit alongside the likes of Picasso, Klimt and Miro.
