Introduction to Kitakyushu, Japan
Kitakyushu sits on the northern point of Fukuoka prefecture, on the southern island of Kyushu, Japan. The closest international airport is located in Fukuoka city however, in 2006, the New Kitakyushu Airport opened and has become a major air hub in the region. Hotels in Kitakyushu vary in price and style, particularly those that have a more traditional Japanese setting like the Ryokans and the western influenced hotel chains. The most popular Kitakyushu hotels are located in the central district of Kokura, which houses several famous attractions, including the Kokura Castle, the Riverwalk Kitakyushu, and the Kokura Station, which consists of a large shopping mall. For the convenience of travel, many Kitakyushu hotels are located along or near train stations, which are the most prominent transport options available in not just Kitakyushu, but also Japan. There is more to explore than just Kitakyushu’s city centre. A large selection of Kitakyushu hotels offer tours to a number of natural attractions, such as Sugao and Nanae Waterfalls, Hiraodai karst Plateau, and Shonyudo Cave.other spellings: kitakyushu otel, kitakyushu hotles, hotell in kitakyushu, hote in kitakyuhu
