Introduction to Kagoshima, Japan
Kagoshima, nicknamed the Naples of the Eastern World, is known as a historic city with many sights and attractions for visitors. There is a really good range of budget and affordable hotels in Kagoshima especially near Sakurajima, the iconic active volcano that is the most famous natural attraction in the region. This popular site contains many of the tourist amenities around the area, including a large modern aquarium located on the historic docks at the foot of the volcano. The Sengan-en gardens, just outside of town, are another favourite with travellers seeking a peaceful natural environment, while the Tsurumaru Castle and Museum of Culture provide a look into the rich past of the city. Be sure and take a ride on the Amuran Ferris Wheel at the Amu Plaza Kagoshima, the city’s best shopping complex. The views from the ferris wheel over the city and the volcano are outstanding. Shoppers will also want to check out the interesting Tenmonkan Shopping Arcade.other spellings: kagoshimahotels, kagoshima otel, kagoshima hotell, kagochima hote
