Introduction to Iwate, Japan
The prefecture of Iwate is located on the main island of Honshu in Japan in the northeast area of Tohoku. There is a good selection of hotels in Iwate, with most being situated in the centre of town near the university, which is a great place to stay if you're looking for a convenient location near plenty of restaurants, nightclubs, bars and shops. The JR Morioka Station provides a fun and convenient gateway for exploring the cities surrounding Iwate. To the west of the city is Shizukuishi, a laid back place for of nature to explore with great views of mountains, lakes and rivers. Nearby attractions include Iwaizumi, where a famous limestone cave can be explored, and Kitayamasaki Cape in Tanohata. The Morioka Castle Ruins Park in neighbouring Morioka City is another popular tourist attraction for those with an interest in Japan’s colourful Samurai past. If you want to experience Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms, check out Kitakami City, famous for its huge old cherry trees.other spellings: iwatehotels, iwat otel, iwat hotell, iwat hote, iwat hotes
