Introduction to Himeji, Japan
Himeji is a city in western Kansai region of Japan, and is home to Japan’s finest castle. During the 1500s the castle was the largest in Asia, and was designated as a World Heritage site in 1993. The castle is an impressive sight, and attracts many tourists each year. Travelling to Himeji is easy, as it is well connected by an excellent rail network. Hotels in Himeji are also easy to find, especially around the centre of the city. All Himeji hotels are within walking distance of train stations, and can be within a few minutes. Himeji hotels offer a high standard of service, and most of the city’ s offerings falling into the four star bracket. Himeji hotel rates are reasonable value, but hotels with swimming pools, saunas and gyms are a lot more expensive.
