Introduction to Ehime, Japan

Ehime hotels are some of the most popular on the Japanese island of Shikoku and are scattered across five cities within the prefecture. The best Ehime hotels are considered to be in Matsuyama, the capital and where some of the country’s oldest hot springs are located. In Imabari, a famous maritime town where a lot of residents own ships and boats, reasonably priced Ehime hotels can be found. Elsewhere, in Uwajima, which is famous for bull sumo shrines, and the outdoor areas of both Saijo, which acts as a gateway to Mount Ishizuchi, and Ikata, where some of Japan’s most famous ocean scenery is located, you can find top accommodation in a variety of classes. Like most prefectures in Japan, Ehime has vacancies most of the year round, and there is no particular wrong or right time to visit. For visitors interested in bamboo crafts, Ehime is particularly famous for them.
