Introduction to Aichi, Japan
Aichi prefecture in Japan’s Chubu region is accustomed to receiving lots of international visitors, especially since it was host to Expo 2005. The prefecture capital, Nagoya, ranks as the fourth-biggest city in Japan and is home to a number of interesting attractions including the Port of Nagoya Aquarium, host to dolphin shows, and Nagoya Castle, a 20th century replica of the original along with museums and temples. Other cities of interest in the prefecture include Inuyama and Toyohashi, which also feature castles. Lovers of ceramics will want to make a beeline for Seto, a centre for this craft and the site of several museums exhibiting prominent works. Textile buffs would be better to head for Ichinomiya, to the north of the prefecture capital. There are hotels in Aichi to cater to all types of visitors, and close to Nagoya, the modern Chubu Centrair International Airport receives air traffic from mostly domestic destinations. Alternatively, visitors can access the area via Shinkansen from Tokyo or Osaka.other spellings: aichihotels, aich otel, aichi hotell, aichi hote, aichi hotes
