Introduction to Negril - West End
The far western Jamaica town of Negril is a small but extremely popular tourist destination on the Caribbean island. It is still quite underdeveloped compared to other parts of this beautiful island, but the city is able to attract many thousands of tourists every year. To the south of the main part of the city is Negril - West End, which is a wonderful cliff top resort area that boasts many great spots for scuba diving and snorkelling. However, in addition to these sports, most of the West End hotels promote cliff diving for tourists. This can be quite a dangerous sport, although there are many spots with shorter heights for those brave tourists who don't want to experience the thrill of high cliff diving. The area is also a duty free tax zone, making shopping quite a popular attraction also.
