The periods from March to June and September to October are good times for sightseeing holidays; the weather is considerably cooler and you will find the main attractions much quieter than at the peak times.

Winter in Venice can be very unpredictable, but don’t be surprised to find some heavy rainfall and blustery, icy conditions. If you visit at this time come prepared with waterproof and warm clothing.
