Shopping: is also particularly good in Siena and there are plenty of good boutique shops offering the best of Italian fashion. The city has a history of craftsmanship so there are lots of products that are original to the area. Among the items worth looking out for are fabrics, gold jewellery, glazed terracotta, and embroidery.

Many of the boutique shops are dotted around the city, but the principle shopping streets are Via Dei Montanini, Via di Citta and Banchi di Sopra.

Sample some wine: Tuscany is of course, well known for its wine production so take the opportunity to sample some of the local wines such as Bianco Vergine Della Valchiana and Chianti Colli Senesi.
