Basilica di San Petronio: is the city’s largest church, built in beautiful Gothic style. After the Vatican had ruled that no church could be bigger than St Peter’s, the pope’s residence in Rome, the church’s blueprint had to be altered.
University Quarter: is packed with endless bars and cafes. The University of Bologna is the oldest university in Italy and the most famous international study centre in the country.
Archaeological Museum: features a wide range of artefacts and treasures from the city’s past, dating back to the city’s origins as an Etruscan town.
