The Piazzale Roma is the main transportation hub in Venice, one of the most romantic cities in the world. As such, Piazzale Roma hotels are most useful for those who need easy access to buses, trains, taxi boats and planes. There are regular bus services to the two nearest airports, Marco Polo Airport and Treviso Airport, while the main railway station, Santa Maria, is just a five-minute walk away across the Ponte della Constituzione footbridge. The island of Tronchetto is around one kilometre away via the fast and convenient Venice People Mover. The island is a huge car park, catering to those who get here by road. There are few tourist attractions in the immediate area, but water taxis allow guests to easily reach big-hitting tourist attractions such as St Mark’s Square. Alternatively, much of the city can be covered on foot.
