Introduction to Tropea - Capo Vaticano
Capo Vaticano lies four kilometres along the pristine waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea from the famed beaches of Tropea, at the foot of the Italian peninsula. The cape features majestic granite cliffs, at the bottom of which are small coves with golden sands. The cape has given the small town atop it its name. There are abundant Capo Vaticano hotels here that cater for the many annual visitors. Ristorantes in town serve traditional Italian pasta and fish dishes. Medieval churches and watchtowers such as Torre Marrana bear testament to the region's important role in history. The seas here offer swimming and pedalo hire. Boat tours along the coast can be booked with operators in town. Walking trails that traverse the province of Calabria pass the town and can be used to reach Tropea or Ricadi. The latter is home to an interesting agriculture museum housing old implements and historic artefacts. Ricadi Railway Station is only three kilometres from town and has trains to destinations farther afield. other spellings: capo vaticanohotels, capo vatican otel, cap vaticano hotell, capa vaticano hote
