Introduction to Treviso - Outskirts
Treviso is a magnificent township located in the province of the same name, but situated in the region of Veneto. It boasts more than 80,000 citizens, and plays host to a large number of tourists throughout the year, many of which use town as a base for launching trips to nearby Venice. The outer districts of the city offer a wealth of Treviso hotels. Among the most popular daytrips are Riviera del Brenta, 40kms to the south, and Venice, also around 40kms south. Alternatively, visitors can take a bike tour of the many antique and beautiful villas on display in the town's suburbs. To the southwest of the city is Treviso Airport, which is one of the main gateways into the Venice region of Italy. The southern outskirts of the town boast the SR53, which is a major highway travelling to the south of the inner city, making it possible for motorists to pass from the eastern side of the town to the western side without having to drive through the heart.
