Introduction to South Sardinia - Capoterra
The Sardinian beach town of Capoterra has grown in popularity as a resort destination in recent decades, aided by its proximity to the island capital and gateway, Cagliari. Set in the west of the delightful Gulf of the Angel Bay the same bay that hosts the capital the town is backed by scenic agricultural land and the nature reserve of Monte Arcosu. The shoreline at Capoterra doesn't have the status of the eight-kilometre long Poetto Beach in the capital, but it offers a more secluded area in which to enjoy the warm waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The nearby nature reserve provides a nice diversion from sunbathing, with its rugged mountain and forests inhabited by the Sardinian deer. With the island's capital just 15kms to the east, ferry and air access to the region are good, making the transfer from Cagliari to Capoterra hotels straightforward.other spellings: capoterra hotels, capterra otel, capotera hotell, capoterra hote, capotura hotes
