Introduction to San Gimignano, Italy
San Gimignano is a small walled hill town dating back to medieval times and is situated in the Tuscan province of Siena. Perhaps the most striking thing about the town is the architecture and towers which can easily be seen for a few kilometres outside the town. In addition the town of San Gimignano is famous for its white wine. There are a few hotels in San Gimignano for the visitors that come year round with mostly small boutique hotels dotted around the town. Visitors to San Gimignano come to see the Cathedral, the Museum of Sacred Art and the Archaeological Museum and details of these are held at most hotels in San Gimignano.
