Situated in the southeastern Italian province of Bari, the commune of Ruvo di Puglia is a popular wine, grape and olive growing community. Despite the fact that many tourists flock to the area to experience its agricultural marvels, the town is also home to several important cultural and historical attractions. It is possible to reach the town by car or bus, as the town is located about one kilometre from the SP231 and about five kilometres to the west of the E55. The city of Bari is only 10kms to the east of the commune, meaning many visitors arriving in the region by ferry can easily travel to Ruvo di Puglia in a matter of minutes. One of the main sites in the town and close to Ruvo di Puglia hotels is the Co Cathedral, which happens to be one of the best standing examples of Apulian Romanesque design. There are also Roman tombs entrenched underneath the church to this day. Palazzo Jatta and the Church of the Madonna di Calendano are other notable places of tourist interest.
