Introduction to Rome - Fiano Romano
The small town of Fiano Romano sits north of Rome, among the Sabine Hills, made famous centuries ago early in the days of the Romans, and offers a great base for popular walking holidays through this scenic region populated with many small, characterful and picturesque villages and towns. Getting in and out of the community is easy thanks to the A1 Autostrada that runs to the east and is also known as the E35 Euroroute. The big junction with the E45 motorway sits on the fringes of the town. Fiano Romano hotels offer excellent places to stay while exploring the area, which is popular with tourists making use of caravan and camping areas nearby. Visitors hoping to arrive by train will need to get to and from Passo Corese, which sits across the river. A small but pretty nature reserve sits at Mount Piccolo, about 15 minutes' drive to the north.Visit our Rome Travel Guide
