Introduction to Rome - Eur
The Eur district of Rome is a contemporary suburb planned by former Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. It features austere architectural edifices and spacious parks. For visitors to Rome, it is an easily accessible location as the Vatican and several of Rome’s historic draws as well as the international airport are in close proximity. Eur is also on Line B of the city’s metro. There are abundant Eur hotels which cater to all tastes and budgets. Guests residing in the precinct are close to a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars. Chinese and international fast food as well as traditional Italian fare is served at these eateries. Bars range from snug pubs to establishments with hi-tech discos. Museums here include the Pigorini National Museum of Prehistory and the Roman Civilisation Museum. The former houses collections from various parts of the world and the latter features a model of 14th century Rome.
