Introduction to Positano, Italy
Positano is the original picture postcard town with the white buildings of Positano clinging to the edge of the rock face in stepped tiers. Overlooking the blue Mediterranean Sea the scene is quite stunning with small artisan shops, brightly decorated houses and intertwining cobbled streets. The town centre of Positano is completely pedestrian orientated with hotels in Positano having porters at the Piazza dei Mulini to help guests with their luggage as this is the car park area. Unsurprisingly the best hotels in Positano are those situated on the cliff top with stunning and panoramic views over Positano marina and the Spiaggia Grande.
