Introduction to Pineto, Italy
The medium sized commune of Pineto is situated on Italy's Adriatic coast, in the region of Abruzzo, central Italy. It is a relatively new town compared to many other villages, communes and cities within Italy, so visitors shouldn't visit expecting to see ancient structures and cobblestoned streets. However, this town is still an appealing destination for tourists, as it is home to a number of exciting sights. The town is part of the 'Seven Sisters', which are a group of seaside resorts located along the Adriatic coast. The main attractions in the commune are the beautiful pine tree-lined beaches that are found fringing the town. Landmarks of note here include a large tower known as the Tower of Cerrano, which was built in the 16th century as a watchtower.
