Lying on the Adriatic coastline, Pescara is the major city for the Italian region of Abruzzo and it turns into a popular seaside town during the summer months. This is when the hotels in Pescara become full to bursting when visitors come to check out the lively nightlife and more than 20 miles of beaches and coastline. Being a seaside town, there is plenty of local seafood to be sampled and of course the famous pizza and ice cream parlours.
