The town of Palestrina is a medium sized commune situated less than 40kms east of the majestic capital of Italy, Rome. Boasting a population of about 18,000 inhabitants, the commune is a beautiful and extremely historical settlement that has been inhabited since the 7th century. The town's terraced streets, historical importance and relative closeness to the city of Rome make it a popular base for travellers.
