The 3-star Palazzo Guardi Hotel, housed in a 16th century Venetian Palace, has been completely re-modeled and transformed into a beautifully individual property without losing any of its period style. Opened by Andrea and Lucio in 2004, this intimate hotel, named after the famous painter Francesco Guardi, is just a few steps away from the world famous Accademia Gallery which houses many of his works - it is, in fact, said that many of his paintings were inspired by the panoramic views from some of the Palazzo Guardi windows. Situated in the Dorsoduro district of Venice, the hotel is within easy walking distance of St. Mark's Square (10 minutes) and the Rialto Bridge (15 minutes). In addition to the main part of the hotel being in the palazzo itself, additional rooms are located in neighbouring historic buildings - all are spacious and truly elegantly decorated in a rich and traditional Venetian style.
