Introduction to Oristano - Bosa
The majestic Castello Malaspina has guarded the Sardinian town of Bosa since 1112. The 45km coastal drive between this ancient village and the larger city of Alghero is considered among the most scenic drives on the entire Italian island. One bank of the Temo River, which runs through this Oristano community, is lined with abandoned tanneries, which once supported the main industry here, while picturesque palm trees grow along the other bank. Many Bosa hotels are situated along the old town's main street, Corso Vittorio Emmanuele, where traditional 19th century palazzos with intricate wrought iron balconies stand alongside cafés, shops and bars. The same pastel-coloured town homes and cobbled streets have stood in the Sa Costa historic centre since medieval times. A Catalan tower is perched at the end of the sandy marina beach, ranked among the cleanest in Italy. The northwest wind known as the mistrale prevents the beach from becoming overwhelmingly hot in summer.other spellings: bosahotels, otelin bossa, bosa hotell, bo sa hote, bossa hotes, hotes in bosa
