Introduction to Novara, Italy
Novara is very much a cross roads in northern Italy’s Piedmont region. The route A4 north south from Milan to Turin is a vital artery in the country’s commercial business, while the route from Genoa into Switzerland is equally important. Napoleon had some history here, but the essence of Novara is in the city’s architecture. Hotels in Novara are geared towards commercial visitors as well as tourists. As with most of the older Italian cities, there used to be a bordering city wall in Novara, but the most impressive sight is the magnificent cathedral.
