Introduction to North Sardinia - Aranci
A tiny fishing port 200 years ago, Golfo Aranci in North Sardinia now spreads its white painted structures all around the spectacular half-moon Bay of the Crabs on the Aranci Gulf, overlooked by the craggy Capo Figari headland. Beaches and superb natural beauty are its main draws, followed closely by its laid-back Italian island lifestyle. During the long Mediterranean summers, Aranci hotels are crowded with visitors from the mainland and other more northern European countries. The beaches here are truly magnificent, with transparent turquoise waters gently lapping the white-sand strands backed by palms and flowering bushes. Rocky outcrops make for good diving and snorkelling, with beachside bars and restaurants providing lunchtime refreshment and evening entertainment.
