Set on the spectacular Capo di Milazzo, jutting out into the Mediterranean, the Sicilian town of Milazzo is 40kms from Messina on the Palermo road. The first settlement here was founded in the 6th century BC and hosted the Greeks, Romans, Goths, Byzantines and Ottomans over the ages.
