Hotel Description
The olive groves around the Masseria Torre Coccaro Hotel, Alberobello, may be as old as this converted 16th century fortified farmhouse itself. The tower where the Marquis Palmieri once stood guard against Turkish invaders now greets guests with a private fireplace and balcony. The even more luxurious orange garden suite, with its own jacuzzi, is named after its surrounding private orange garden and is situated within an ancient cave. Visitors walk into the unique outdoor swimming pool in the same way they would enter the Adriatic Sea waters 500m away. Guests also have exclusive access to a 12m yacht, stables for horseback riding, and the private Coccaro Beach Club with its own seafood restaurant. Olive oil is used in several Aveda spa treatments. The massive San Domenico golf course lies directly north of Savelletri di Fasano, the nearest community to this historic country home in southeast Italy.

Lobby:
The lobby is small in size and in excellent condition with dark wooden antique furniture.
Exterior:
On arrival everything impresses about this property. Masserias used to be the private houses of noble people in the past, they were all built in a very typical style with local white stone. The sighting tower was used to spot the arrival of saracens, the infamous turkish pirates. The building dates back to the 16th century and these type of buildings are an important part of the history of the Puglia region.
