Introduction to Maiori - Beach
No Amalfi Coast beach is longer than the one in the Campania town of Maiori. This L-shaped beach has been a popular holiday destination since the ancient Roman era, and tourism remains the town's largest industry to this day. Most Maiori Beach hotels are elegant and although fees are now required to access most, these private beaches have their own bars. The coastline runs perpendicular to Corso Regina, a wide pedestrian street on the Sorrentine Peninsula's southern side. A nightly market sometimes takes place alongside Corso Regina's shops and restaurants. Local specialties sold here include handmade ceramics and limoncello liqueur. Indeed the scent of lemons travels everywhere in this town of whitewashed homes and citrus trees. Free concerts frequently occur around Giardini Palazzo Mezzacapo's impressive fountains and green gardens. Remnants of ancient Roman walls remain standing and the same golden domed monastery has stood here since the 10th century.other spellings: hotel inmaiori beach, maoiri beach hotell, hote in maori beach, meiori beach hotle
