The peaceful yet active village of Bussolengo stands on a plateau above the Adige River in northern Italy. Bussolengo hotels are located just 12kms from the city of Verona and eight kilometres from Lago di Garda, Italy's biggest lake. However, this picturesque village is far quieter and less crowded than its nearby tourist attractions. Peach, cypress and olive trees grow throughout this charming village, which is known for its vineyards and sporting facilities. This ancient village's oldest surviving building is an ancient Roman structure known as Quatro Gambe. The 15th century Villa Spinola and 19th century Villa Giusti Benati are the two most impressive villas here. The San Valentino church close to Piazzale Vittorio Veneto may be the most impressive of the many historic churches. The Town Hall stands on the bustling main square, which has hosted a weekly market since 1409. Mount Crocetta, 234m above sea level, is the highest point here.
