The elegant Fontebella Hotel is set within Assisi’s medieval walls, now declared a World Heritage site. It is only two hours to Rome and the south of Florence, making it a great day trip base. It is easily accessible by car (via Highway-A1), by train and bus (via Santa Maria degli Angeli station and a bus transfer). Perugia S Egidio Airport is only 10 minutes away by taxi. Rooms are all in excellent condition. Equipped to high standards, they are medium in size and have wooden furniture and classic textiles. Bathrooms are in a good condition throughout, most rooms with bathtub. Half rooms offer enchanting panoramas on the typical Umbrian valley.

The restaurant is the pride of this hotel. Situated on the lower floor and benefitting from a beautiful large terrace overviewing the valley, the restaurant is known in the whole of the region for its specialities, typical dishes and products of the area and an extraordinary wine list.

The lobby is small area on the left side from the entrance. On the right side there is a Bar area sometimes used for breakfast (low season only). Once being a private house, the hotel has a charming lounge area with fireplace and original paintings, comfortable sofas and an intimate atmosphere.
