Introduction to Florence - Santo Spirito
Florence, filled with many interesting sites and fascinating cultural features, is one of Italy's premier tourist destinations. Santo Spirito is a district within the city, located just to the south of the Arno River which runs through the centre. This central district of Florence is a wonderful destination for visitors to get to know. Santo Spirito contains the church of Santa Maria del Carmine and a large square which is known locally as the piazza. However, these sights aren't the only ones visitors can experience here. Just to the south of the district is Giardino di Boboli (Boboli Garden), and a few kilometres to the west is Giardino Torrigiani, which is translated as Torrigiani Gardens.
