Standing at the junction of northern Italy's Toce and Bogna rivers, the town of Domodossola is found in the region of Piedmont, in the alpine region of the country of Italy. More than 18,000 people live within the town, and many thousands more visit the settlement each year. There is a major railway station found here which makes the settlement a significant destination for railway travellers. Domodossola hotels are therefore an important feature of the town. While staying in the town, there are several appealing landmarks in the settlement to keep visitors busy for a few hours. The most important attraction in the commune is the Collegiate Church of St Gervasius. In addition to this, the Silva Palace, which is often referred to as Palazzo Silva, is another marvelous medieval structure that should not be missed by travellers. Just outside the town is the Sacro Monte Calvario, an important place of pilgrimage for Roman Catholics.
