Introduction to Desenzano del Garda, Italy
Desenzano del Garda is a town on the southern shore of Lake Garda in the Lombardy Region of northern Italy. There is a large selection of hotels which are mostly beside the lake and offer wonderful views of it and the Alps in the background, on a clear day. A further selection of them is spread around the area close to the eating and drinking establishments. At the top of a hill is a small castle. It has a few ornate villas and an archaeological museum. This city has a series of linked piazzas with cafes, bars restaurants and ice-cream parlours in them. Desenzano del Garda hotels are convenient for day trips outside town. Ferries from port provide a relaxing means of seeing Lake Garda's attractions. The Desenzano del Garda has rail services.
