Introduction to Crotone, Italy

Cretone is in the region of Calabria, in the southern part of Italy. It is located right on the heel of Italy, on the Gulf of Taranto. There are some hotels in Cretone with good facilities, with most hotels being spread along the coast. The most famous aspect of Cretone is not architectural splendour or a fabulous beach, but an athlete the 6th century Milo of Croton. The philosopher Pythagoras was also a local figure after establishing himself here about 530 BC.
