Introduction to Cesenatico, Italy
Cesenatico is an Italian port town located in the western province of Forti-Cesena on the Adriatic coast. Originally a fisherman's town, Cesenatico has changed over recent years into one of Italy's most attractive seaside resorts. The town boasts numerous holiday homes, campsites and Cesenatico hotels, which can be located on almost every street. The ancient port still has a certain fascination with its dated sail-boats, and the shallow sea and golden beach make it an ideal location for families with children. The vibrant nightlife in this part of the Italian Riviera also entices tourists of all ages. The town boasts a number of popular attractions, with Porto Canale, the 16th century canal created on Leonardo da Vinci's design, being among the most visited. The canal has a floating museum based on local mariners' lives. The ancient fishing market, Piazzetta delle Conserve, is where you can see the old containers excavated underground, which in previous times were used for keeping fish under ice before selling. Between late December and early January is Presepe della Marineria, where life-sized statues are placed on the ancient boats of the Mariners' Museum and characters such as fishermen, dolphins and fishmongers are portrayed under the beautiful night lights.other spellings: cesenaticohotels, cesematico otel, cesenatioc hotell, cesenatcio hote, cesenaitco
