Introduction to Cefalu - City Centre
Located on the northern coast of Italy∈s island of Sicily, the city of Cefalu is a famous fishing village and beach resort for Italian and other European travellers. With its tourism numbers peaking during the summer vacation period, Cefalu has almost tripled its population from tourism over the past few years. Therefore, it is a good idea to reserve hotels in Cefalu before arriving. The heart of the town is known as Cefalu city centre, but because the city is more renowned for its beachfront atmosphere, hotels in Cefalu are found closer to the water∈s edge than the Cefalu city centre. Nevertheless, there are a number of hotels in Cefalu that can be located in the heart of town. The main part of the city contains the more architectural sites of town, including Cefalu Cathedral, Santa Maria dell∈Odigitria, Bishops Palace, Palazzo Maria, and ancient Roman style baths.
