Introduction to Capo d’Orlando, Italy
The small Sicilian resort town of Capo d'Orlando nestles into a headland area between the sea and the island's hilly inland terrain. The area is filled with stunning natural scenery, both along the sea and in the hills. Below the seafront walls, a thin sliver of beach runs for several miles. The beaches are relatively easy to reach from hotels in Capo d'Orlando, though some of the more remote and scenic spots may require a bit of travel to reach. The town itself is easy to get to thanks to the A20 highway that runs just a few minutes to the south. The local railway station is even closer and can be reached on foot. Though the town, which has largely grown up in the last century, itself lacks much of the historical architecture seen in many regional towns, it still offers a number of notable tourist sites. Perhaps the most valuable is Villa Bagnoli. These ruins of a Roman residence sit by the sea, a few minutes around the headland from the town's heart. The impressive Bastione Castle is less than two kilometres from town.other spellings: capo d orlandohotels, capo dorlando otel, capod olando hotell, capodorlando hote
