Introduction to Barge, Italy
Barge is an intimate Italian municipality, known as a commune, situated in Piedmont, the northeasternmost part of the nation. This community is situated approximately 45kms northwest of the city of Cuneo, which has the same name as the province where Barge is located and is only slightly further away from the city of Turin, which lies just 50kms away. Most Barge hotels are small establishments situated on scenic hills filled with vineyards and orchards where chestnut and oak trees grow. Visitors may explore these forests by walking or cycling through a vast network of dirt roads and hiking paths. The main attractions within the community itself are its ancient namesake castle and two beautiful churches named San Giovanni Battista and Santa Maria. Certosa del Mombracco is another historic religious building found here.
