By air: tourists arriving by air will land at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and travel onward by road to Haifa. Transportation to Haifa can be arranged at the airport’s tourist information desk, with options including taxis, buses and a shared option known as sherut service. The journey to Haifa is approximately 90 minutes.
By bus: buses from all points in Israel arrive at the Egged Bus Terminal, located next to the central rail station in Bat Galim. From the terminal, city buses will take you to the hotel districts of Hadar or central Carmel.
No service is available on Saturday. By express train, the journey to Tel Aviv takes one hour and local train service takes around 90 minutes.
By car: there are major highways connecting Haifa with Galilee, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Highways 2 and 4 run along the coast from the direction of Tel Aviv.
