Safety: safety is something of a concern for visitors to Israel and all those planning a holiday in the country should be mindful of their own country’s government recommendations with regards to travelling in the region.
The US Department of State website and the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office website both give regular evaluations on the threat status and advice with regards to holidaying in Israel. Since recommendations are based on professionally assessed information, we recommend that visitors take all points seriously and tailor their travel plans accordingly.
The months of July and August are not too bad either but you will find daily highs hitting 29 to 30°C, which can be a little excessive if you are planning a sightseeing trip and are not well adjusted to hot weather.
The winter time from December through until early March sees the heaviest rainfall, so be sure to pack some waterproof clothing if you choose to take your holiday at this time.
Language: both Hebrew and Arabic are recognised as official languages in Israel and the regularity with which each is spoken is dependent on the region. English is also commonly recognised as an unofficial third language and is commonly spoken across the country.
