Eilat Travel Guide - Museums & Galleries
Maritime Museum and the Aquarium: the aquarium here has been constructed so that you can stand in a space at the middle and watch the fish swim around you in the large, circular tank. Outdoors you’ll find huge observation pools, one designated for large sharks; and the other for rays and sea turtles.
The observatory has a 20-foot tower, rising out of the sea and inside, a spiral staircase leads down into the observatory itself. The sea water here is normally crystal clear, allowing for fantastic views of the fish and coral. In 2005, the entire complex was rebuilt, and now includes a third building housing a combination snack bar/cafe.
