The Coral Beach Nature Reserve is also well worth visiting and there’s a lovely beach on the grounds, with lots of shade, where you can take a break from your underwater adventures.
Coral Beach Nature Reserve: provides an opportunity for visitors to explore Israel's small stretch of the Red Sea's coral reef system. Colourful, exotic fish and other sea creatures abound at this nature reserve, located south of Eilat. There’s a pleasant, peaceful beach, offering plenty of shade, changing rooms with showers and an open-air snack bar.
The current moves towards the south, so you can drift, paddling a bit, as you observe the reef and the undersea life through your mask.
The Undersea Observatory: comprises a range of exhibits on the fish and marine life of the Red Sea. The large pool that you’ll see on the observatory grounds houses many different varieties of sharks, which you can observe through windows on the side, or from above on the bridge spanning the pool. In other pools, you’ll see huge sea tortoises, and sea-cats.
The Oceanarium: is a 3-D movie experience that is found on the grounds of the Underwater Observatory. Viewers have the opportunity to experience a sensation quite similar to actually moving underwater.
The Oceanarium will please the entire family, with its motion theatre, simulator and large-capacity, futuristic viewing hall - where spectators’ seats move hydraulically, creating the realistic sensation of an undersea journey.
If you prefer to stay on land, there are observation jetties available so that you can watch these creatures from above and if you choose to dive, there are diving instructors and snorkelling guides who will help you meet the dolphins up close.
Onsite you’ll also find an air-conditioned auditorium, where a variety of films about dolphins are screened, a cafeteria-style restaurant with good views, a bar that’s located on the beach, a children's activity centre and much more.
