Eilat Travel Guide - Activities

The lovely beaches of the Red Sea are the major attraction for visitors to Eilat. The waters here are clear, pleasant and warm. The waters are safe, although it’s not a good idea to swim too far out on your own, as it gets quite deep quickly.
Coral beach: can be found around the curve of the bay, which can be reached by a short drive. This is a recommended spot for snorkelling and diving, as coral and fish are plentiful here, and snorkelling equipment is available for hire. Conditions at Coral Beach make it perfect for beginning and intermediate snorkelling and scuba diving.
As you swim or bask in the sun, you can watch the dolphins playing and being fed just beyond the area roped off for humans. There’s also a wooden observation deck overlooking the dolphins’ swimming area, from which you can have a closer look at their activity.
A cafeteria onsite offers drinks, snacks and complete meals and there’s also a pub and a theatre featuring various films about dolphins.
Parents can leave their children in the hands of expert divers, providing them the unique experience of exploring the undersea world. There’s also a School of Underwater Photography, with programmes ranging from a half-day offering to 14-days, focusing on both still photography and underwater video.
Introductory dives are available for those who have never tried diving before. The programme typically begins with an hour-long, private session with a qualified instructor.
