One of the biggest attractions in Israel is the Sea of Galilee or Lake Kinneret as it is also known. One of the best places to visit for a full appreciation of the beauty of the region is Tiberias in the north of the country. This is a big city that is a well established tourist destination with many of the hotels in Tiberias catering for British and European visitors. This is one of the four Jewish Holy Cities and places of interest that guests at Tiberias hotels usually come to see are religion based. These include the popular River Jordan baptismal site and St Peters church. The city’s location, on the west coast of the Sea of Galilee, provides some wonderful views that can be enjoyed from some hotels in Tiberias.
