The Shalom Hotel Jerusalem, is located on a mountain, and is over 10 minutes taxi drive from the Old City, or alternatively guests can catch a public bus that stops very near to the hotel. It is near to the Yad Vashem Memorial and Museum. Rooms are reasonably furnished and have dated decor. The traditional style Shalom Hotel Jerusalem has a large outside, seasonal open swimming pool that has sun beds and chairs dotted around it and a restaurant that serves simple style kosher and international meals.

The rooms are large and kept in good condition along with the bathrooms. They are fully equipped with wall-to-wall carpeting in grey, and have special orthopedic beds. Rooms are in rose, grey and white colours with wooden furniture.
